Job Title :
Practice Engagement Manager - Sales/Account Mgr with Software Testing experience

Location:
NY or CA

Responsibilities
• Primary Lead for one large or few mid-sized QA/ Testing engagements with clients
• Primary responsibility for achieving revenue, profitability and client satisfaction goals for the QA business on those engagements
• Participate in client discussions, understand problem faced by client, and articulate same to internal stakeholders. Define and document problems and get customer agreement, bring in best practices of industry and provide options
• Lead proposal preparation and guide internal teams on solution development and estimation/ pricing
• Work with Executive leadership team to obtain signoff on internal investments and business case
• Articulate the value proposition and differentiators to the client and obtain buy-in on proposed solution
• Work with Delivery teams in Global Delivery Model to mobilize right-skilled team to deliver QA engagements successfully
• Build relationships with client stakeholders and leverage the same to win sole-sourced proactive opportunities
• Work collaboratively in a matrix relationship with the account leadership team to grow the QA/ Testing footprint within the account
• Provide active oversight to Engagement delivery efforts, identify potential issues early and work with internal teams to remediate those to prevent client escalation
• Respond speedily and responsibly to client escalations to ensure full resolution of issues and maintain client satisfaction
• Review the work of senior onshore and offshore staff on the engagement, and mentor/ coach them as needed
• Review the engagement formally and informally with client stakeholders and seek proactive feedback to identify areas for improvement
• Proactively recommend newer solutions and services based on client needs and newer engagement models to achieve client’s business outcomes
• Demonstrate thought leadership in certain specific areas and leverage that to shape the conversations with clients
• Conduct detail competitive analysis to identify our current positioning and future opportunities for growth
• Maintain high degree of client satisfaction at all times – proactively take steps to address issues early
• Assist in pre-sales activities for other accounts and offer consultative advice for pursuits/ opportunities

Top 3 Technical skills needed:
• Testing Project/ Program and Portfolio Management
• Test Process Consulting/ Assessment/ Improvement
• Test Automation and Specialized Testing

Top 3 mandatory requirements needed:
• At least 2+ years’ experience with consultative selling of IT services
• Carried specific P&L goals for selling IT services, preferably Testing/ QA services
• Strong in communication, articulation and persuasion

Top 3 Strong Preferences needed:
• Some experience in Financial Services is strongly preferred
• Some IT Services Delivery experience, preferably Testing/ QA services
• Project/ Program Management experience, preferably Testing/ QA services

Qualification
Bachelor’s degree

Experience Required ( In Years)
A minimum 10+ years of experience with listed responsibilities and skill sets.


Other Requirements/Comments
1. Travel/Relocation requirements – Travel up to 50% is required. Need to be co-located with the client
